B20 is going to be the weakest of all the one's you suggested. While it's the cheapest, it won't be able to handle lots of power and abuse

Those don't last very long. Hybrids don't hold up well, they weren't mean to be mated, so they don't hold up for much linger than a year. I know plenty of people why built them "the right way" and they don't last

I disagree. An LS/Vtec can last and perform well. It's all dependent on how it's built. I had an LS/Vtec and it ran just fine and lasted as well. I sold it with the car when I bought another. It's about building it properly.

Just curious, how long did you run your LS/Vtec setup?

In my experience it wasn't good, but everyone has their own experiences and thoughts, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. But if you do go that route, best of luck.

If it was me id go with a b18c1 gsr motor. But for thr high compression your lookin for u might need to port and bore....u cqn get that from either motor, reliablility is the real question

b20vtak or b18c-one, which ever you choose..you'll feel it full more vs the baby 1.6
