So I have decided to either sell/trade my teg for another car. Possibly a civic or another teg or a 300zx. Just something that runs and is slammable.

Anyway, I figured why not keep my DA and just go for a cheaper and different route. So, I would sell my b18a1, my spare b18a1, my turbo, my cams, and all my other junk and buying a swap.

So possibilities are GSR, b16, b20, k20(/k24), and h22. Type r is too expensive. Lsvtec is too unreliable.

GSR and b16 are both obviously the easiest choice.

B20 would be a little harder to find where I live and I would not want b20 gearing so a tranny swap would be necessary

k20 would be sweet!!!!!! but I know soo little about it.

h22 would be cool too but once again I don't know much about it.

So I'm going to play noob for a bit and see what some of your more experienced guys suggest.


I would personally like to do a h22.

Also, where are the most REPUTABLE places to get motors?

Why don't you just buy a good daily civic 5 speed and put the b18a1in the civic?

If you have 2 b18a1's get a civic to put the other motor into.

Or just sell the other motor and all that and just get another civic/integra for daily driving.

Why don't you just put the build on hold for right now? get some money flowing then start up later. Just go slow.

because I priced it out the other day and I need 4000 more to finish it. I cant afford to drive a truck that gets 13mpg for an entire summer and manage to come out with enough money for school next year

understood. But I see the point in paying 3k-4k more to do a k swap over a type r swap. You're getting better numbers and youve got that extra torque from the additional .2 liters. But I also know about all the tranny problems :x
