CV Axles Gs-r 92'

hey guys i just got over 100k today got my oil changed and then learned that i need to replace my cv axles. and they wanna charge $480 plus tax. what are your opinons on this should i buy my own parts and have them do it? or just let them do it all? keep in mind they do use certified honda and acura stuff

If you're gonna sell it just put some Napa or Advance Auto axles on it. They have lifetime warranties anyway.

What happened to your B17? Previous owner blow it up?

Some junkyards have like standard pricing for car parts.
in other words CV joints would cost the same if it was from an integra or camaro

At my local junk yard i could buy used cv joints for about $15 a pop. Install them myself in less than 2 hours.
so thats a $30 option.

The problem is the CV joints on integras are a pain in the ass to put in, its not like other cars. These integra cv joints have to go in exactly right. and its messy!

If your a pretty good diy yourself guy id take this option
if you dont know what a cv joint looks like. just pay somebody to do it.
