FXXX it! I'll do it muhself! Core support replacement??

SO heres the deal,
Some Dbag in their boat of a car hit mine -_- and ran off and now I'm stuck having to replace the following.

-The front bumper
-The Radiator core support
-Headlight housing
-Both the front fenders
-And the hood

I decided that I'm not gonna take the shit to the mechanic (too embarressed, plus you want somethin done right - do it yourself....ya feel mehh>>??) and I thought it'd be fun to it on my own anyway.

I've got the Headlights and and the front bumper off, but my question is how do I get
this damn Core Support off? And the Front Fenders?

Anything you know helps and try not to be assholes. >.> I feel bad enough.

The core support has to be cut out and welded back in. You might want to let a body shop handle that because it needs to be lined up perfect.

the fenders are easy enough there are 4 10mm bolts on top then 1 or 2 inside the door jam and one under the side skirt

I'm in the same boat as you. I need to cut and weld in a new one. I'm going to attempt it this summer if I don't sell it first.

Definitely have the core support expertly done, like Talon said, it has to be perfect.

._. I had MAACO pull forward my front end after something like this, and my driver side headlight is still a bit back. Replaced the whole tie bar. But might need to replace the CORE support ,_, slid under the back of a 95 Integra with my 90

Oddly enough I need to do that too. I'm just too damn cheap lol.

When you cut your original out mark all the edges of it so you know where to put the new one, drill holes in the new one where the original had spot welds, screw it all in using self tapping screws, fit fenders, hood, front bumper, then take the panels all back off and weld it all in don't forget weld through primer between panels for corrosion protection then prime it seam seal it then paint it

I do this for a living that's how I do it and it works lol
