First of all let me just say this is only my second experience with adding anything into my Integra. And those Japs that make these things know how to keep it simple. Just kinda wanted to say I can't wait to really start doing some custom stuff.
Ahh anyway I wired my sub out from my head unit yesterday and I thought I would share what I did (and maybe give some advice to anyone doing the same thing)
First I of course had to rip out my head unit (Can't wait to get a new one by the way)
And then plug the wires in. My head unit has outputs for front and rear audio, the rear can be switched from rear audio to sub out.
That metal bracket is right behind the glovebox, so that plastic thing under it is the back of the glovebox. Drops down by lifting those two "stops" that connect to it. Tried to wrap the wire around that so it stayed.
I did this on the passenger side, because that's where the sub will be. (there is a light on the driver's side trunk wall)
Runs down right next to the computer, pulled them above this black cable (ECU power?) so they would stay nice and secure, and out of the way so they would stay hidden. They run under the door sill on the inside, the black molding comes partially off with just prying it.
That black wire they run above close up (Metal box is the computer)
At the end of the doorsill where it meets the rear seat siding, I put them in there going up the side of the seat (only out to see where they are lol)
This is next to the seat, I lifted it up so you can see the wires. I wired them UNDER the pivot that the rear seat folds on (Important in my opinion)
This is where they come up behind the rear seats, again only out to show where they are. They stay under the carpet and go right to my amp. (Which is not wired yet and may not be due to it possibly being broken)
The final set up (somewhat) in my custom made box (Still in progress)
Let me know what you guys think.
