Yep, thats what I am going for.

I will have to paint my brackets black so they look as good as the motor when I get around to it :D

Alright Ricky, I picked up that paint early in the week and painted her up. Probably not as nice as yours, but its better than the chrome paint :D My headlights (specifically the passenger side) has been getting hazy so I figured it was a good time to buff them since I had just washed the car. Since its pollen season, I dont expect the car to stay clean, but I had to get the sap off of the car from parking under some pines.

And heres how she turned out. Primed then painted same day, touched it up the day after.

It has been worse than this before. Before on the left, after on the right. The lights arent in the best shape, but they look 10 times better when they are polished up.

Thanks guys. It sure is a whole lot better than the chrome haha.

It will be some time before it makes it into the engine bay (and the existing cylinder head gets painted to match). I am working on purchasing a home at the moment, and dont have the money/time to go about doing a large project such as pulling the motor, swapping over parts, checking clearances, and putting it back together. That will have to wait until I have a house (with a large garage mind you).

Beyond that, I plan on getting a Mig welder and doing my exhaust work. I will have some sorta-big updates, when time and money allow.

Head lights look dope man. Nice job. What did you use on them?
PC7424xp with a generic red pad ( I think it came with the buffer), Mothers plastic polish, and followed it up with a thin coat of some wax I dont use on my paint.

Jason do you have any idea what kind of mig you will be purchasing?
Hobart Handler 140. Its about $500, and should be more than enough for exhaust work, and odd jobs here and there. I will probably make myself a welding cart rather than buy one for $80.

looking good man!
Thanks Jim

You can't really go wrong with that. I have a Lincoln arc welder and a Lincoln mig welder that runs off the arc welder. (It's a big gas powered welder.) I recently went out and bought a cheap welder at harbor freight. It works good for tac welds, mainly little things on body panels and such, but I can't lay a bead with it worth a shit. Lol.
