didnt read each page but i feel that people should be able to have friends of the opposite sex without necessarily having any sexual and or romantic feelings for them. honestly the only problems ive ever had having a friend of the opposite sex is the girls that i have dated having a problem with it.

Ya...my boyfriend has had the same female friend he talks to for the entire 3 years I have been with him...and I just started talking to a friend, that I have known for 2 years, and he is getting pissed off & I'm like WTF? LOL

Of course. I have many girl friends and love hanging out with them. The problem arises when their significant other gets jealous and steps in between you. (So no more coming over to your house to watch a movie or go to the beach for a day etc). So it can be tricky. Besides, its all about respect. Would I want another guy fooling around on my girl? No, so I don't do it to others.

I'm having the same issue in my relationship right now. My girlfriend hangs out with a guy that's my friend more than she does me. I hate it and I'm always jealous and terrified they are doing something. She assured me that they are/ will never do anything but still its a jealousy thing and It will always be in my mind that they "could" be doing something.
So IMO idk I feel like its possible but at the same time most guys are out for poon, ect... in your case your boyfriend should be laid back if all you do is just talk with him.

Yea, in my situation...The guy I am talking 2 is friends with me & my bf, and he lives in California & I'm in GA...I think my bf gets mad/jealous also because the guy is a "friend" of his and feels like he shouldn't be talking to me because they are friends but I reassured him that, that is specifically why he should trust him! We only talk & text...I haven't seen him in 2 years...
In your situation, I would NOT allow my bf to hang out with another girl MORE than me! That's not right, you can be "friends" but when you have a bf/gf then I feel that's disrespectful... but thats just my opinion.... u can take it for what its worth or disregard it

See I don't have to worry about that "possibility" because my friend lives in California & I'm in GA...And when I go to visit my boyfriend is coming w/ me...So we will see what happens...
What I have gathered from you all is about 90% of you disagree, that you cannot be friends with no sexual attraction (unless they are ugly, in which case you prob wouldn't be friends LOL) and then 10% of you agree that it is possible...I'm not liking these odds...I will keep my guard up just in case...

im friends with many girls but not all of them i think the same of. some i think of just friends the others i think about a relationship that could last. sex isnt always the key to a successful relationship only a booty call. i know what your dealing with kind of right now i just got dumped by my ex gf. i did nothing wrong i quit talking to other girls to make her happy while she was hanging out with other guys that were supposed to be my friends when they were having sex. it all depends on the guy and his intentions. i wish you the best of luck with your situation and im sure any of us will be more then happy to talk with you if you need us to.
