Agreed.
That's a juvenile comment. Not to mention that you haven't thought that through.
Unless the local and/or state laws allow for the shooting/wounding of would be thieves(see Texas and its horse theft/ property of large value laws), there is a good chance you'll end up in jail for murder. Not to mention that a defense lawyer for a 1st degree murder trial is around $100k(and I'm quoting a lawyer on that figure).
So even if you act all Billy Badass and kill them, you'll end up sitting in jail until you can make bail(if you get it), go to trial, tarnish your name and reputation, at the very least are out a substantial amount of money(likely selling the car you killed the man over to fund your defense, along with mortgaging your or a family members house), and there is a good possibility you end up serving jail time. All because you treated life like a bad soap opera and killed someone. Not to mention that taking a life isn't as easy on your conscience as you may like to think.
I've had a car stolen, I know how it feels. As much as I love my car, I don't know that I'd take someone's life over it. In the end, it's metal, cloth, and plastic. I'm not saying I wouldn't take a swing at them though.
The points to take from all that was to start thinking like a
reasonable adult, and no one here thinks your cool or tough for comments like that.
