B20 build?

I'm still trying to figure out which way is the best way to build this car. I currently have an LS/V, but I want something that's a little more...dependent...and fast. So far, I've only decided that I'm gonna do a fresh build, something for me to have created. My question right now is which can be better turbo'd, B18B or B20? I don't have the money for a B18C, but I still want to create something that is mine, so these are my main choices being that they are within a decent price range. Also, what would be the benefits of a B20 swap rather than a B18?

TL;DR Which is better, B20 or B18B for turbo build?

isnt a fully build B20 w/b16 head stronger than a b18c1 (assuming they have similar pistons and cams)

meaning the head flow and displacement would make it stronger...of course both being N/A

Only thing is I really don't like the idea of a B20/V, all I've heard about LS/V builds is that they are unreliable. Is it possible to be nearly as good w/o the swap?

So non-vtec to non-vtec, which can hold the most power before sleeving is necessary? Also, would the B20 even function w/ the B18b ecu?

B20 sleeves are thinner than B18b
B20 can give you more torque N/A
B18b will give you a motor that you can run a decent amount of boost with out building, If the motor is good.

If you're going turbo just stick with the b18b
If you go N/A go B20

B20 will work with B18b ecu

well you said you wanted something faster., b20 has torque b16 head vtec gives it top end. that equals pretty fast., turbo plus built equals beast.

I already hv an ls/v though, so it would just be better to turbo that if need be...i've just frequently heard ls/v is unreliable, and this whole thread has recommended it...im so confused.

its all about how you build the motor....match the parts and everything works great..never had a problem with any b18 ive had or b20...but maintance plays a huge part in any motor

But would a B20 hold any boost safely for a DD? I know they have much thinner sleeves, but how much power can they hold before they need sleeves? I kinda plan to build something in stages, first just using a low power turbo, then moving on the build the motor and push more boost.
