need an expert on integra's, it won't start

some days it might a slight delay and then crank and start but today i had to take a different car since i turned the key and it didnt even crank! just made a ding noise and nothing happened! i checked the battery and its fine, what can it be?

It actually works! I used a rubber mallet on mine. Its worked good ever since! Of course not all the time but worth a shot. Its free!
