You do realize that VVTi is variable valve timing too. I believe VVTi is like iVtec as it has the intelligence feature, but it's been a while since I read up on it all.

VVTI is called "lift" in the Toyota world... and is IDENTICLE to VTEC.... Variable valve timing.... i actually had a 2005 Corolla XRS... and it had VVTI... and was a 6sp M/T... i Loved it... until i totaled it... fml!
