A friend of mine also a DA9 driver was driving in the winter conditions up here and he had hit a tree, he was driving and lost control and ended up spinning out, he wants to bang out the back replace the bumper the hatch and the piece that goes between the tail lights let me know what you guys think thanks:)

The dent above wheel on the left was from the crash but the frame seems fine no cracks

Missed the exhaust and the gastank

Damn. Might as well try to bang it out. It's not like you can do anymore damage.

I'm sure you can fix it, just do what spongebob squarepants does and add some love and it will turn out great!

Take a chain wrap one around large tree n open ur hatch then chain it to were its dented in the farthest if possible and pull ur car forward. Don't gun it go untilled its tight and have friend watch the back n start pulling forward untilled u get get it close then pound out to even as possible. Saves alot of time

Its fixable, but at what cost does it become not worth it. If he were to take it to a body shop I can almost garauntee it'd be more then what another shell would cost

Hitting out the dent would work with a rubber mallet i think, or what ^^^^ said would be more efficient and cleaner. I don't know, is the wiring for the left rear light broken? if it is, you'll probably need some new wires for that as well... good luck man

The unibody is fuxed... Nothing will line up right, Those dents on the quarter panel show a major shift in the entire rear end.

Cant really ghetto fix it either... The metal behind the filler panel and tail lights are really thin, You can tie a chain around it like previously said but you will only pull top of the trunk wall and that will probably bend it more out of place, behind the bumper is pushed in as well as the trunk floor is bent in, There is no way to get a chain around that to pull it out... It needs to be professionally pulled out on a frame machine and even then it won't be right again because the quarter panel crumpled... That DA is a total loss. Best bet is to get a shell and transfer everything over to it.

I thought those were preexisting. Yeah, if this accident did that from back there, the frame is pretty screwed.
