where are the sound system junkies?

I've got 2 12 JBL GTO's in my car with a JBL Crown series amp plus gotta run another battery in the hatch for the amp but. The subs are sitting in a ported box and boy does it pound....Plus I work at a audio shop so I got a great deal on my whole setup

Im runnin a dolphin deck with infinity reference front components. Took out my 6x9s cause you dont really need them if youre bumpin as hard as me. ;). Plus it sounds wayyy better without em. My trunk got 2 12$(polk audio dx series) hooked up on an audioque 1200 watt amp. I usually switch up my subs depending on how much space I need. I usually rock my alumapro bp12 for the quality. I hit 130+ db in my car and thats with the back seat up since I gota 4dr.

You guys have pretty nice setups. Ill get some pics in tmr.

i have owned JL in the past and was never left unsatisfied. they pound!!!! i ended up selling my set up because of hard times. i ended up trading a xbox 360 for 2 Memphis subs. i never heard of them until then. i had 2 of them in a ported box crammed in my ext cab s10 i had. and wow! after some resaerch i found they would handle 1000w rms a piece. all i had was a 800 amp and it would barely push one of them. i ended up getting a ported box for just one and selling the other. i bought a 1200w kenwood amp and it pushes one just fine. i now have it in the back of my 95 integra. i have all memphis components now 6.5 two ways in the rear and 4x6 three ways in the doors(the 4x6 were in my s10 and i pulled them after i totaled it). i found a place that sells memphis audio and after hearing there set up in a demo car i wsa pretty impressed. and the price is very resonable. for the 2 sets i paid maybe a little over $100 for them. the 12" subs go for about $450. but i listened to a single 10" in a civic hatch at a car audio place and it was nuts. hit haarder than any 10" sub ive ever heard.

Jl is not bad its their price that makes ppl think twice, the w7's get down
memphis is pretty good, ive hear pretty good things about them. had 2-15s in my jimmy and they sounded pretty good for what they where
heres what ive had in the jimmy def more room than the teg, excuse the pre fabs i was still a noob audio wise
with its first set of shoes

i bet those earthquakes sounded retardedly loud!!!! i could only imagine. my dad got into db years ago (1998 or so) and he had 4 of the JL w6's in the back of a van lol. it sounds retarded but it was actually all set up nice. ive been ragged on it before on a s10 forum because it was in a van. oh well. i wish i could find pics tof it to post. it was pretty nuts. we ended up taking about a dozen or so first place trophys and hand full of second places. the tranny ended up going out on it and it sat for a year and me and my brother finally asked him if we could gut it and put the stuff in our cars sense he wasnt going to get it fixed. we did and what was in my bros car got stollen and i ended up selling mine and buying new ones. i would love to be able to afford the new w7s. just one would do me.

yeah it got loud, prob a good 145db. didnt have them long enough to get them metered.
guy i sold them to "so he says" won a few trophies with them
