You need the load resistors. The LEDs don't provide the same resistance.So i just ordered these LED brake light bulbs...And i hooked them up i would a normal bulb turned my DRL's and BAM nothing...They only work then i step on my brake lights...Not when in normal running mode...Maybe i need load resistors? Any help please? :???:
oh wow wonder if this is true so i can check out some LED's. Quite a good point u make brojust fyi to post this in the thread for anyone looking to do this in the future... a load resistor is NOT what is needed in this situation... a load resistor only solves issues where due to using LED bulbs there is a bulb out indicator and/or turn signals issues where they flash too quickly.
the problem may be that you've bought 1156 single contact bulbs and what you really needed was 1157 dual contact. if they are in fact 1157 bulbs then the problem may lie in a faulty bulb
