Ideas on new car

I'm slowly starting to save up for a newer car. The car I had in mind is an Acura RSX S-type. I want a car with a little more power. I was wondering if this was a good choice. I want to know what you all think. Whats a good reliable 4-cylinder Honda newer than a 2000 model that is a sweet car. I like the look of the Acura RSX and i like the reviews I have read about it. I've never drove a newer honda and dont know how they run. The only cars I've ever owned are the 1993 Acura Integra hatchback, and my current 1996 acura integra special edition 4-D. I drove my mothers Toyota Avalon, and I drove around a mitsubishi lancer for a while which was nice but nothing beats the acuras Ive had.

Good models, year, pricing, long run pricing on upgrading the car, any kind of information you think would help me would be great. Ive learned a lot about cars in the last 6 months and ive taken a lot better care of my car. I ready for a newer nicer car that I can learn about and put some time into. Maybe someone could also list some DOs and DONTs for the cars you suggest.

i would say the RSX-S but the only con i have about them is the transmissions, pretty weak

Early models have tran's issues. Cleaner interior and more modern exterior, but I still love the DC2/4 over the DC5

How early do you mean when you say in the earlier models?and whats the difference in DC2/4 and DC5?

I'm not sure when they stopped having problem, you could probably check consumer reports for that info on the RSX.
And I'll just copy and paste this guys response to another thread regarding the differences

DB7 = Body and engine type.
DB7: 4dr B18B
DB8: 4dr B18C
DC4: 2dr B18B
DC2: 2dr B18C

A DC5 is an RSX; the newer Integra :thumbs up

just do a 98-01 facelift and tail-light/bumper swap, it's nearly the same.

He means head and tail lamps and front and rear bumpers. Looks cleaner and more aggressive. Google it

I might think about staying with this car but i do have 230,000 miles on it. Ive heard that this isnt much for a honda motor but it seems like it is lol

If your car has been driven hard, then yes, that could be a lot; but honestly, you should just rebuild your engine. To buy a new Integra would cost a lot more than rebuilding your engine. You could probably come out hella sexy if you rebuild your engine and use the rest of the money for upgrades :thumbs up
