My trunk is taken up almost completely by my sub box. It's ridiculous, heavy and slightly annoying. My car used to be fast until I put that shit in.

it will be louder, hard to say because that box is design to my car with my subs accounting for how much room they need. i like ported boxes
for the most part ported boxes will be louder, but ppl have different opinions on that. also just because its not ported/vented doesnt mean it wont get loud. depends on alot of things

An example of this^ my box isn't ported, but I get ear raped when I really crank it
as beatbox said it's personal preference. I've always gone sealed but I can appreciate ported.

Im thinking of getting some new ones. Maybe 2 rockford fosgate 10" subs with 800 watt amp. I don't know yet.

My Audio days are over (getting old). Looking at these simple enclosure box. It makes my old set up allot of work to fiberglass and the money I put into mine.
