pcv help ??

my brother accidentally broke the pcv and i was wondering how important is it can i just plug it ? or do i not drive my car until fix...

It will help vent fuel vapors and excess pressure from the head back into the block. I suggest you replace it soon, but its not going to cause your engine to fail.

Its really easy to fix and the part is only a few dollars (like $5) so you mine as well replace it tomorrow. Really it can be replaced in the lot of the autoparts store.

i have the part but the old one broke in there

you can use an extractor to get the boken piece out...maybe somone else has an idea as well

It depends how bad its broke off in there. Do you have a photo? My guess is some finesse with some pointy-nose pliers will get it out.

If it broke like mine, it probably broke at the hose that goes into the breather box under the intake manifold. That guy is pretty hard to get to.

well i finally got it out today lol
Clean it up, put some RTV silicone around the hole/part that slide into the hole with the o-ring, and re-install it. Dont go driving around with it like that, or you will have a pretty good oil leak.
