Soon to own 1993 Integra LS, need some help

Hey everyone, new to the forum and new to Integras and I have a few questions before I buy. Currently I have a 1995 VW Jetta VR6 that I may be trading for a 1993 Integra LS. My first question, a very important one (also might be a dumb one): Does the 1.8l LS engine have VTEC? I've been doing plenty of research and have turned up few results on that subject. Also want to double check if the bolt pattern is in fact 4x100. How easily is the rear wiper deleted/removed? What are some common modifications that are done to integras? (exhausts, intakes, turbos etc) Any useful info would be greatly appreciated.

No, LS motors do not have vtec (thank you for spelling it right ) For 93 I believe that it is 4x100. I havent deleted the rear wiper myself but from my understanding all you need is a delete plug. Common mods, intake, header, exhaust, lowering, turbo, pretty much anything. Hope this helps a bit :)

Vtec, no, unless it's been swapped, wiper delete, easy, but don't do it, 4x100, yes, intake, do a short ram intake with k&n filter, any ebay short ram pipe will work, it's all in the filter, header, honestly any eBay 4-2-1 will do, exhaust, I personally run skunk2 and love it, Turbo, boost that shit! Stock internals can hold 300whp Max, anything more and you'll need to upgrade internals.

No :wak: Ebay headers are crap, just look at the welds on them... If you're going to do things like headers and exhaust, do them right :thumbs up

No VTEC? That sucks! I might not even do it now  This may be another dumb question, but is it possible to swap in a VTEC system without changing the whole engine? What kind of turbos do most people use? Also a cost estimate would be helpful, I'm young and unemployed so whatever I can do cheaply will be best. :)

Lol that's all up to you, I dont have vtec and dont mind haha. and yes, it is possible, reliable? no, and it costs about $1000 minumum if you do it right... Turbo, again personal preference, I'm planning on getting a Turbonetics setup here soon, but a good quality t3/t4 on an integra is more than enough in my opinion :) A good quality turbo build with tuning and built engine will run you a few thousand though... cheaply, just start with the basic bolt ons and go from there :)

Are there any good sites where I can browse parts and modifications for an Integra? I've looked on several JDM sites and haven't found a specialty one yet. Any recommendations?

Take a look at our site sponsors, they have some great parts and pricing, I have good experience with Hi-Power Motorsports and CorSport, both are great companies

Awesome man, thanks for all the help. Currently my plans for this car if I do get it would be an Skunk2 exhaust, Skunk2 coils, Injen ram intake and some wheels. Unless someone can offer an alternative to the products I just mentioned. I've heard that Skunk2 is pretty good quality, unless I'm misinformed. What type of wheels are popular? The car currently has steel wheels with some really ugly hubcaps, paint is blue. Recommendations?

I deleted my rear wiper, and it made a huge difference in how clean it looks. I did it when I was hammered, so it wasn't that tough, obviously, lol. You will need a plug from the firewall that you an buy from Honda for less than $10.

No pro bro :thumbs up Those sounds like a pretty good list for starters. Rota's are really popular but they're cheap knock offs. I wouls suggest going something unique that not many people have (please nothing ricey lol). Just lose them asap haha. OEM is another option as well for wheels

I will never run anything that makes it ricey (huge aluminum spoilers :letout:) I think some of the OEM wheels are really nice, especially when you have white paint and they're painted gold :D In case I don't get this car, what are the model codes that have VTEC engines? GS right?

Thank you! lol, but agreed, painted oem wheels in my opinion =sexy time :) And no, GS-Rs have vtec. GS's are basically GS-R's minus the vtec

Not GS, GSR. b18c1 and b18c5 are the stock vtec engines for integras. GSR has the c1 and the type r has the c5. Oh, I forgot, 92-93 GSR has a b17, also vtec. I wouldn't turn down the car just because there's no vtec. Integra's are still great cars, and you can always go vtec in the future.

Also, OEM wheels are awesome.
