Snow on my intake filter

Just installed a cai last week (the filter is located down in the wheel well almost). Well, it snowed like over foot a few days ago, so I went out to check my intake.. Sure enough I find the filter with a layer of snow on it (Im sure a lot of the snow on it aleady melted).

I started the car before I checked the intake, and it started with a little hesitation but was fine other than that.

Could the snow on it cause a problem? Should I just wait until it's all melted to drive it? :???:

Hit the intake to shake the snow off. It probably hesitated because of the restriction the snow plugging up the filter.

the southwest is where cai's are good lol....I laugh at my buddies who run em on the east coast during winter. a couple of em have sri for winter, and cai for summer just so they dont have this risk! just disconnect the lower portion of the cai tube...the 1/2 way point. dont risk that water in the motor

I have had snow on a CAI It never cause me any problems ever.. Only time it would is if you drove from a 3 foot puddle and thats if it didnt stall first... Hydrolocking happens but its rare
