Hey Jordan. You should do a little DIY on how to clean your engine. Mine is ok but not spotless... and i spilt antifreeze all over it trying to replace a coolant pipe haha. Ive heard you have to put a bag over it or something? And then spray it with a hose? idk lol. thanks!
Start your car let it run for about 5 minutes so its WARM to the touch.
Turn the car off.
Cover all vital components with plastic or tin foil.
Spray the engine bay down.
You don't need to SOAK everything with water just a light spray in the bay.
Get a de-greaser spray it over the engine bay. Let it sit for about 15-30 seconds.
Get a brush and agitate the de-greaser so it can work to its full ability. Start cleaning make sure to get everything.
Once you cleaned everything hose down the engine bay. LIGHTLY. Remember you don't need to completely soak it.
Wipe everything down with a rag or towel. Better yet get a air hose to blow the water off.
Remove the plastic or tin foil that you used to cover the components with. Start you car let it sit for about 5 minutes.
DONE.
There are many how to's for engine cleaning on the web. Some say to have a cold engine some say for it to be warm. When the engine is warm its easier to remove the dirt/grease.
