i installed an aftermarket exhaust manifold and i could tell my car was running was too rich since the manifold turned purple after a few days, how can i make it so its not too lean or too rich? do i tune something?

Thats why he thought he was running rich.how can you tell its rich, are there heavy fumes coming from the exhaust and does it have a slow pick up?

i guess that mechanic lied to me but does anyone know any websites that have pictures of how to connect the catylatic convertor to the down pipe? intried to connect it with the same gasket the car already had and now it sounds like its leaking
