Hey again, Got a problem with my fogs.
When i first got them, i rigged em up to my corners to turn on with my switch inside. But my fuse kept blowing and then when i checked the wiring, it was seared/burnt right through. So now, i try to wire it up correctly and the fog light switch lights up and everything but the fog lights wont turn on. I traced the burnt wires all the way back and taped em up separately with electric tape btw.
Anyone got a good write up on fog lights? or can help me with this?

Well. You are trying to pull more current through the fuse that its originaly rated for. That is gonna cause it to blow regardless.
You can try a higher rated fuse for the amount of current you are pulling. But it would also be smart to replace your wires as well. They need to be rated higher that your fuse. So that in case of a short the fuse will burn out before the wires. If not than a short can cause the wires to burn and catch fire which leads to much larger complications.
Also check out your bulbs. Alot of things can cause a bulb to burn out. And since you blew the fuse already, it would be a good thing to check out.

Yeah I would think so. Unless you have some crazy HID fog kit or something.

maybe just try a complete re-wire. Also a relay might not be a bad idea either. What wattage bulbs are you using?
complete as in, buy new wires and re solder everything? and idk its an ebay kit

well you can get foglight wiring kits from autozone for a few bucks, and yeah make sure you at least crimp or solder the wires together and don't just rely on electrical tape.

Yup. This sounds good to me. If your bulbs are showing damage. And not nothing works most likely fried wires. You could just have the fogs ran separately straight from the batt. And just put a switch in the car.
