It would probably have something to do with the starter then if that does it every time. A lot of times aftermarket starters have dead spot like that even on newer ones. Did it have some sort of warranty on it? I would also check the positive battery cable, could be broke or close to broke somewhere and just contacting good when you hit it, at least worth checking out because those don't cost more than 20-30 bucks even from Acura. Could be a issue with the electrical part of the ignition switch too that the starter thing is masking kind of, because sometimes those things don't contact very well and you have to play with the key a little, so it could be when you are trying to start it hitting it you are making that contact better. Just some things to consider. I would imagine has to be one of those three, in that order of likelihood from what you are saying.
