New to it all....

I've always been interested in cars I just don't know shit about them.....lol sad to say it wasn't until now ( age 21 ) I decided I really wanted to get into the scene and have a baby of my own. Needless to say I'm in the process of finding that perfect project which can be a daily as well right now with semi luck. I have 3k to spend although I'd rather not spend it all on the car itself but we will see how it goes.

Any tips about anything? Like I said I don't know anything about cars really but I've helped my buddy on his, well really I just did whatever he told me to do so I learned some things here and there. I've watched a couple documentaries and have been reading up online but honestly I think nothing will really click in my head until I have the car and start working on it myself and learn by trial and error.

Sorry for the long rant haha, look forward to learning finally having a car I can be proud of.

That's another thing that has got me. I really like the 96-98's and I'll more than likely go with an LS mainly for money reasons, but the more I look the more DA's really grow on me. I have a couple I've been wanting to look at it's just a matter of time when my friend can go with me seeing how he'll know what it's worth more than me.

I've found other ones but they've already sold.....there was a really nice GSR for around 2800 but that went really quick. I guess it's all about patience to find the right one.

Yea I got really lucky, pretty much the week that I started looking for one I found it.... This was a young kid who got it from a guy that had every record of everything hed ever done to it, and the kid only had it for 4 months so he didnt do anything to it - If you want to take a look at my build thread, theres a link in my sig (might guve you ideas)

But main thing is just to keep looking and keep your eyes open

i was gonna say something also, im from houston also, im just up at school in college station. There are plenty of choices on houston's craigslist. just search integra and you should get plenty of choices from day to day, spend the time and pick one out that looks/runs good. with only 3k your probably not gonna find a clean DC in the area.

Yeah I've come to that realization but as long as it drives good I can take care of the rest later. I know people say buy something you have to put less work into but this will be my first real car per say, so I want to learn as much as I can. I'm looking at a really nice one today which is all stock then another one which I think only has coi overs so we will see what happens.

I'd love to have the ability to drive that ways for a car but it's just not realistic. I've looked at several that I thought were going to be good deals that turned out they were actually the opposite, I couldn't do that driving all the way up there.

Good things come to those who wait I keep telling myself.....this search is going to really mean that much more when I find the one.
