So I just bought a 93 integra with a lame swapmeet type of intake and exhaust, planning on taking them off asap. Other than that it has a B18 stock engine and yea pretty much stock. Has a oil leak got to get that checked out first but other than that can you guys give me some ideas to get it a little boost for now?
I dont have the money for a swap planning later later on to go lsvtec:)

juice :D

but seriously, take it in for a tune up. a guy 2 or so threads below didnt, and hell end up paying through the nose to get his newly purchased teg fixed. get the oil changed, valve job done, examine the timing belt, etc.

Timing belt, water pump and tune up, and oil change, you'll notice a huge difference in economy and pick up, do a few bolt ons and you'll be. Happy til you can spend the big bucks, and get her chipped or tuned

It sounds like the past owners didn't take care of it and riced it out thinking it was making 200HP from an ebay intake and exshaust, and now its already leaking oil? Sorry but my stock engine has 350,000 miles on it and started having leaks around 300,000 miles. If i were you, I would just take that engine out and rebuild it. Your gonna dump money on a beat engine, its not worth it. One word, Rebuild. If your wise about it, it won't cost a shit load like you think it will.

K24 bottom end, K20R head, built to handle a gt42r....it's expensive but it's an idea.

Seriously though, I'd swap in a B18C mated to a GSR YS1 cable trans or B16 cable trans.

Whats the most basic and cheapest setup?
I think i'm going to change the tranny because that's where the leak is coming from. The stock b18 motor sounds good.
But im really confused with how swaps work in integras since they already have b18's non vtec what do you swap out and put in?. how do you go VTEC?
I really have to do research:)

a realiable LS-Vtec is an expensive LS-Vtec...

Unless you know exactly what you're doing and have experience, don't do it.
It's not just slapping a Vtec head and calling it a day. There's TONS of threads on them and I don't see them as much anymore except B20 Vtecs

to ls vtec it rebuild your bottem end, and throw a gsr head on it. buy a new ecu and gsr chip in plug it all in and youre set. i got a gsr im about to throw in my 93 DA. but ls vtec is more powerful, better compression, longer strokes too
