Right speaker cuts in and out

A few months back I picked up some Pioneer speakers to replace my factory speakers (from 1990!). More often than not my right front speaker doesn't work. It will usually cut back in when I hit a bump and sometimes it will work if I turn the volume up high enough.

Its kinda dissapointing 'cause the quality doesn't sound nearly as good when it isn't working. It isn't the actual speaker or speaker wire that is causing this either.

What could be wrong? I'm a noob when it comes to car audio, so any help is appreciated.

check the wires at the speaker they are most likely loose but check all connections and make sure they are all good

I mean it's a classic sign of a bad connection..I'd say try swapping the speaker sides/running new wires.

ya def check all connections and you might want to check and make sure the radio is plugged in all the way in the back and also try swapping speakers from side to side

unplug the back of the HU, turn car off, plug back in and turn on car, if it makes a funny sound from the speaker it will be a short.
