my review of the F1 racing stage 1 xlutch thus far

So I just installed the F1 racing stage 1 clutch in my 93 ls. While I have only drove a few hundred miles on it so far I am fully satisfied with it. There is so much more grip and jump off the line now. It's smooth in and out, allows smoother shifting and smooth acceleration. While it takes slightly higher rpms to take off nice and slow and there's more back pressure on the petal i feel it was a good purchase. But as with everything. Only time will tell the true quality of the product.

This is where I purchased it. gripforce.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_24_49_52&products_id=4

If you have only had it for a couple hundred miles, how can that review a clutch?

Sorry dude, but you need way more milage. 100k maybe lol

whoa 100k lol....many of these aftermarket clutches arent designed to really last long. I was told by quite a few that being I drove my comp clutch stage 2 for 2 years on my daily, that I should have been their poster child lol.
But I agree maybe review the kit at about 8-10k and see how its holding in the scheme of things.

I have f1 racing clutch and flywheel. Stage 3- 6puck clutch. Have 10k miles since MAY 2010! Daily driven, deliver pizzas!

Best 260$ spent for the combo package.

F1 racing is not an eBay brand either. My clutch has seen quite a bit of abuse, and if my clutch exploded tomorrow, I would NOT hesitate to buy another one.

Alot of the life of a clutch has to do with the break in period.

My review was an initial review. My initial thoughts of the clutch. As I said only time will tell. When I get a good amount of miles on it I will do another review.

Dtackett, good post.

Cripton805, do you ever stop driving your car? 100k would take like ten years lol. Depends who's driving really. I've put 40k miles on my blazer in the past two or three, and i've put 3k on my truck in the past four or five lol. 100k seems a bit much to review a clutch either way lol.

I'll be putting an F1 racing clutch in my car soon, and very soon afterwards taking a 3000+ mile round trip, so maybe i'll post up and let you guys know how it works lol.

I put like 15k in my old DA in a couple months quick. I drove about 100 miles a day, even more and sometimes 600 mile round trips a couple times.

These are supposed to be race clutches. They should last longer than an OEM Clutch.
They're supposed to get beat somewhat. If not, then why the stage 1? lol

I had Exedy stage 2 and I bet that would have lasted more than my engine and half of another. lol
Now those are damn good clutches

I meant to say "Good Post" not "Could Post." Lol.
It's an initial review anyways, we'll see how it works out.

They're supposed to handle more horsepower. Not necessarily handle more of a beating. An abused clutch won't last as long as one that's pampered. :)

I've put a 100k on my car in 4 years its not hard when you drive over a 100 miles every other day but I have the f1 stage one clutch in my 91 integra and have about 30-35000 miles on it and still drives and feels like the day I put it in and I'm not easy on my car it takes its beatings
