ok thanks, i wanted to buy this kit pretty soon, need some experienced input on the matter. it seems like a nice kit for the price. Can this particular turbo be used on a daily driver? i got a pretty good budget as far as my motor build. I really looking on more reliability than anything else.

It looks to be decent parts but I'd do some more research such as calling the company and looking for anyone who may have the kit already. It appears to be a DIY kit that gets you started and you still need to piece the rest together. As stated before, intercooler, piping, and blow off valve are still needed. Don't forget tuning either, that's the most important thing. The kit doesn't seem to include fuel injectors either so you'll need those as well. I'm skeptical about that painted black downpipe whether it's actually good piping like stainless steel or crappy aluminum piping. The turbo appears to be about a Garrett GT2554R which is good to about 280bhp max. It seems to be a good beginner kit, just make sure that you are buying quality.

what about buying a rebuilt turbo from this site "www.usedturbos.net" an peice a kit together, i mean i want a peak boost kit but i really dont want to put that on my credit card or take a loan out right now. i really want to peice it together with quality parts, more on the reasonable spending mark i want to invest about 4500 setup an tuned.

This really depends on what kind of setup you want. Quite a few of the turbos I saw on that site are meant for internal wastegate but do not have the wastegate included. You would either have to purchase an internal wastegate actuator seperately and have it installed or weld the wastegate hole shut and pick up a turbo manifold fitted for external wastegate to bypass it. As far as picking the right turbo, what is your goal? Do you want to have a good kit and be done or do you want room to grow? How much power are you wanting to make and how quick do you wan the turbo to spool? Is the car going to be a street car or track car? All these things play into picking the right turbo for your application.

$4,500 all said and done is easily achievable. I paid around $3,800 for my complete turbo setup including tuning and shipping cost and everything in my setup is brand new good quality parts.

Looks like a nice starter kit for a stock motor, ultimately if you plan on beefing up the motor and going with a larger turbo in the future you'll need to swap out the exhaust manifold and downpipe for ones that will work with an external wastegate. As smithboy pointed out, you'll want to add a BOV, Front mount intercooler, piper, injectors and a larger fuel pump also.

Here's another to look into, it comes with the intercooler, external wastegate set up and bov - http://www.godspeedproject.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16&products_id=157&zenid=ss90tvf0clpmabtd51c2btlt44

I've can't comment on how good their stuff is, I just know it's out there.

You'd still need injectors, a fuel pump, bigger exhaust, and a chipped ecu and of course a good tune.

I would label god speed as mid range quality. Its a step up from ebay but obvioisly not as good as popular name brands. I have a godspeed turbo and it woked perfect for the 30 minutes i got to drive my car before it started knocking (lol not related to the turbo) it will work fine and you wouldnt tell much difference in performance from name brands but it wont last as long, i wouldnt expect it to last longer than 2 years. But my plan is to upgrade before it goes out to a precision turbo, so its deffinately a good starter turbo.

But i would just get a new turbo, and piece together a kit.

Good to know, I've heard the name thrown around but wasn't sure of the quality.

I forgot to add, plan on a better clutch too, the stock one won't handle the power...

^Good point! I knew there was something I was forgetting. Definitely upgrade the clutch. I wasn't sure how good the fuel pumps are on the Integras, just giving general turbo knowledge.
