i have heard different opinions on wrapping headers. some say it s good, some say its bad cus it keep the heat in the header making it crack easier. please shed some light on this. thx

Lot of NHRA funny cars use it with no issues....ceramic coating is another option

but the arent daily drivers tho, but i see your point, funny car burn way hotter than a pump gas car, i really dont think it would harm the headers.

the wrap does drop engine temp a lil, but it does speed up rusting on some types and brands of headers. I got my 5Ziegen header and took the wrap off due to the lil spots it left on the metal. Now it looks like a bronze/blued lizard skin. I will try and get some pix of how they look now.

8urcivic used heat wrap on his JDM itr header with no problems.
Heat wrap is a good idea if you have a track car, not so much of a daily driver IMO unless you use hella power
