A drag car setup and a track car setup are totally different. You can do both for fun, but there's no way to set up for both.
Once you run on a track or even an autocross, you'll forget all about drag "racing"...
As long as you have a safe car to run on track, dont worry so much about power/setup. Your driving will be the #1 biggest thing. Just get out there and do it
DAMN! Looks like you had a bit of a moment there when the wheel threw your hands off, lol. You almost spin?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8typZWQf018

You must enjoy running 14.5's.Haha , thats a lie.
Drag>Autocross
It beats going around cones for how ever long. I mean its to each their own but i do enjoy running slow times, i dont go every weekend to run the same times but thats why u mod your car to run a faster time. You must enjoy running 14.5's.
I would much prefer to take my car to an autocross event or real speedway rather than drive it in a straight line.
See my avatar. It beats going around cones for how ever long. I mean its to each their own but i do enjoy running slow times, i dont go every weekend to run the same times but thats why u mod your car to run a faster time.
Nothing like seeing a 10-11sec honda
Bought the wrong car? I seen plenty fast FWD hondas that drag...hell go look up NRG Tech/T1See my avatar.
Drag is nothing more than money converted into straight line speed. And if that's what you want, you bought the wrong car. Good luck with that.
Have you ever actually been autocrossing?
No, but i wouldnt mind it one day.But you still didnt answer my question. Have you ever been autocrossing?
Yeah ive been a drag racing whore all my life, been around it since i was little but i wouldnt mind going to do a few laps on a road course just not what i'd build my car forYou should. Most people think they need a car thats "ready" or "set up" for autocross. You dont. Just go do it. Its fun no matter what. Just go out and run. Its the only way to improve the most important mod of all: driver. The people are VERY nice and helpful, especially when you're new.
We all love cars, and interaction with our car is what makes any sort of motorsport fun. If you think of it in terms of vehicle inputs (interactions: applying throttle, applying brake, turning left, turning right, shifting)....
Drag has what, 5 inputs per run?
An autocross will at least 50 inputs per run. The interaction with your car and the feeling of actually driving is just so much higher.
Not to totally bash drag I guess, because I realize there's some insanely fast drag cars out there... but going to the strip to run 15s just doesnt sound appetizing.
damn boys, nice driving I really enjoyed watching those videos, next season I'mma get into the local autoslalom and autox events maybe visit the drag strip acouple times just to see what she can run, nothing like beating older times eh?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8typZWQf018

hes not saying integras/hondas in general cant make good passes, it's just easily done in a rwd ow awd car, our cars are known for control and taking corners, are you building your teg ?Yeah ive been a drag racing whore all my life, been around it since i was little but i wouldnt mind going to do a few laps on a road course just not what i'd build my car for
to each their own. ive tried circuit, auto x, time attack etc. i find that anything on a circuit is far superior to other forms of motorsporting acheived in a FF drivetrain. thats my opinionHaha , thats a lie.
Drag>Autocross
i have old shifter bushings and the circuit hero over exadurates the movement. But yes i do spin at the end of my runDAMN! Looks like you had a bit of a moment there when the wheel threw your hands off, lol. You almost spin?
Also, I noticed when your car rolls to the side the gear shift moves around like the tranny is moving. Is that normal or custom?
x2 we typically tune our cars for "curcuit racing" with brand x coilover and brand x suspension componentsYou must enjoy running 14.5's.
I would much prefer to take my car to an autocross event or real speedway rather than drive it in a straight line.
I might go at the end of this month to the drag strip and see what i can run. I plan on going alot more to the circuits next year hahadamn boys, nice driving I really enjoyed watching those videos, next season I'mma get into the local autoslalom and autox events maybe visit the drag strip acouple times just to see what she can run, nothing like beating older times eh?
It looked liek you almost spun toward the beginning of the run too; when the steering wheel almost flew out of your hand. Thanks for posting the videos, btwi have old shifter bushings and the circuit hero over exadurates the movement. But yes i do spin at the end of my run
my back end is stupid stiff because of my x brace. my back end tends to want to kick out alotIt looked liek you almost spun toward the beginning of the run too; when the steering wheel almost flew out of your hand. Thanks for posting the videos, btw
