Connect subs to Headunit with no remote wire?

I have a kenwood headunit and it doesnt have a remote wire only rca plugs

I was wondering if there is a way to hook up an amp without a remote wire or if theres another way to hook it up

so your wiring harness doesn't have a blue/white stripe wire?

you can always use one of the other wires off the decks wiring harness used the one that would be for "power antenna" or you can also use the red wire

Sounds like you'll just have to come up with another way to get a 12V trigger to the amp...

Run a wire from amp to a toggle switch. So you can use the switchto turn amp on/off

I had the same problem in my old civic.

i ran a toggle switch from my battery to the amp,
so i was able to turn it on/off when i wanted too.
and had power to the amp. no problems.

yea my wiring harness has a blue wire for antenna can i just connect that with the remote wire and then thats it?

if you wire it to the blue wire, the amp will only turn on with the radio, it will shut off with any other source (unless the deck you're using's blue wire is the amp lead)... Most head units the straight blue wire is the power antenna.

If you're not certain, just use the red wire. The amp just cannot stay on all the time, it will kill your battery...

sorry buy i suck with electrical stuff so use the red wire and connect it to the remote wire coming off the amp and thats it?

yup the red wire should already be connected to the harness that connects to your car. but go ahead and add that remote wire off the amp to the red wire and should work.

Sorry about all the questions but this wire is already switched right? So the amp will turn off

x2 the red wire turns ur deck on and off, the yellow wire is constant power.
