New to the site, been into Tuner cars and JDM style for sometime....recently in the Marines getting out soon and need to update my knowledge on stuff. Going to buy an integra once i get out probably 3rd Gen 98-00 Gsr or LS...here are some questions...sorry for the newbish stuff but gotta start somewhere right?

What is the difference between all the kinds of styles like SiR...Type R....stuff like that..
what exactly is DC2-DC4?
In order to have a legit JDM integra minus the RHD would it need a ITR front end conversion, rear bumber and trunk or is it all pretty much the same? I plan on going pretty deep...bought lots of books on tuning going to go to UTI or Wyotech for highperformance and hopefully get somewhere in this world and economy
Is it correct to stay with a certain style as in ITR conversions? or SiR? im kinda confused, if you could help me out that be great...you can kinda see where my questions are going as well. Thanks everyone Happy Tuning :)

Thats sick man. my buddy just got out of boot camp. but now hes back at the school of infantry. anyways Ls(engine: b18b1) is the base engine, non vtec, however i heard theyre good engines to boost on cuz of theyre low compression and cuz its honda. gsr( engine: b18c1) has vtec, right before the top performance model the type R(engine: b18c5). although its pretty hard to find a type r model and theyre pretty pricey. not sure about the SIR. Think that corresponds more toward civics but im not sure. DC 2 is the third gen integra but the 2 door model hence DC2-doors. DC4 same thing but 4 doors. If you can i would say go with the JDM ITR fornt end conversion. much respect haha too sick. but as far as conversions go its up to you man, im sorta stuck in the same situation but if you want youre integra to be fully JDM then do it. unless you do pick up a type r, then all you would have to do is change the front end if not changed already cuz b18c5 is the JDM engine.

DC2 is a vtec integra (94+ GSR, Si-R, IT-R)
DC4 is a non-vtec vers (94+ RS, LS, GS, SE)
DB9 is the 4door vers vtec (94+ trim models same as dc)
DB6 is the 4door non-vtec (94+ trim models same as dc)

the Si-R was only available over-seas and maybe canada.

to make it look like a jdm IT-R, youd need the front, shaved side moldings, interior pieces, no sun roof and the 5 lug conversion

I enjoy Integras.
DB9 is the 4door vers vtec (94+ trim models same as dc)
DB6 is the 4door non-vtec (94+ trim models same as dc)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought DB7s were the non vtec 4drs while DB8s were the vtec 4drs? I thought the DB6 and DB9 were those obscure JDM 4dr teggys that had like 1.6s and all.

If you look up wikipedia for integra, there are DB1-9's or so. USDM sedans are DB7's and DB8's though, as you own one ;)

Im not sure what Coy is referring to, he may be naming a couple JDM sedan chassis codes because thats what the OP is wanting to do.

And please refer to it as a JDM Front End Conversion, as it may not necessarily by an ITR front. People always think that JDM front ends automatically scream "ITR" when most of the time they dont.
