Welll damn, sounds like to much work!
how much is a T28, if it's a bolt on kit.. how much work will it require..
it's either i but the t25, or save up for another one..
I'm a poor high school student! lol, so any info will helpp!
will i need to save for a intercooler, BOV etc?
If you buy the T28 turbo off your friend, you will still need to:
Rebuild the turbo with new garret internals/seals
Mock up your dump pipe as mentioned earlier.
Acquire a manifold, downpipe, intercooler, BOV, necessary piping and connectors, etc.
You will also need to purchase a tunable ECU, or chip your current ECU because a tune is necessary when you add boost. This however woud be necessary regardless of whether you bought a kit, or just built around the T28.
The T28 isn't a bad option. If you live in a big city or have a few buddies that are into the scene, you can probably source out some good components fairly quickly and piece it together how you want to.
A kit is a more simple option though. You may or may not save money, depending on the way you locate parts. Installation will be much more simple though, and you will be able to get on it quicker.
