Clicking Noise when turning..

when i turn to the left from a stop sign, i hear a clicking noise from my right front side..is that a cv joint?

i drove my 94 civic dx forever with bad CV's and i didnt need an alignment.

Changing the axle does not affect the steering rack in any way, except popping out the lower ball joint. An alignment is needed when changing camber (control arm kits), caster, or the toe (tie rods, tie rod ends), or sometimes large changes in wheel dimensions.
