My car was free, although the only reason my uncle gave it to me was to save it from the junkyard.

And I've been given parts that I wanted for it, but she just got them for me because she wants to drive it... Not working...

I wouldn't even consider a radio and a rear window visor "building" my car. It's 2 things that are on my Christmas list, and who said I was even getting them.

We all gotta start somewhere coy, I rocked a 1986 300E as my first ride, it stalled every time you stopped at a light, blew smoke, and nearly killed me, but it was my first car. Since then, I've owned my two tegs, both of which i saved and paid for, I borrow my dad's truck for hauling, and then the backup car is the escort(i need to upload pics of that bad boy) which is his, but I use when my car is down etc. Idk, we gotta start somewhere I guess.

I wouldn't consider it either, I was just at a meet with a guy whos dad built him a 650hp 350Z so you getting $150 worth of stuff is not a big deal.

Certain pride comes with paying your way etc, but like, if my mom was like hey as your HOLIDAY GIFT i'll get you this piece etc, no biggie. Sadly my mom hates me and wont pay my tuition even, fml. But theres a difference between getting a gift for the holiday and having dad buy your build, that's all I'm saying. I'm jealous your parents love you. <3

Actually the fact that it is a present and he could get some PS3 games or something and decided to go with parts... Who wouldn't do that...

Most of the stuff I want now is far from present friendly budget... Or way to hard to explain.

My parents also needed a third car. The expedition is there third but it's not reliable at all. So if one of there scions are down, sure they can drive my car until there's is fixed. Buying a $2700 car for their son to have is cheaper then giving me one of there cars and they have to buy a new car which is atleast $17,000.

Right. I've got tons of games already, but I hardly play video games anymore.

I would rather get something I'm gonna use. 2 new video games that are $60 each are gonna cost more than a radio.

Exactly, don't worry, you asked for something you can really use/appreciate. Nothing wrong with that. I remember my GS. Silver. I wonder how she's doing. Haha.

I plan to keep this car forever. If it blow up I'll find a way to fix it. If it gets totaled I'll find a way to fix it.

That's exactly what I said, then I realized I wanted to do more than just appearance mods, and I realized I wanted a manual. I fixed up the needed stuff on my car, and actually sold it for a great price for me, the guy paid about 1K more than my absolute lowest going price. So it worked out, then I picked up this GSR, I have about another grand left to pay off it, so in a few months I'll start saving for an actual build. For now it's just appearance related stuff etc. Teg's will last a long time, I drive the hell out of my cars.

GET THIS V V V this is going on my list :) im have to pay for it myself :(
What is the name of that wheel? Im in love. If they make a alcantara version it would be amazing.

oh and OP the ONLY headunit's to buy are Alpine ones. Might I recommend the CDA-9885 or CDA-9887, its what I run and its the top of the line version before they start putting stupid little screens on them . The 9885 is really all anyone needs unless your going to get serious or have deep pockets for the optional extras the 9887 supports. The 9886 has problems thats why i didnt include it.
