GTi or GSR?

I have been activly searching to buy a car and have narrowed my search down to a GTi or GSR maybe an LS. I do understand that this is an "integra" forum but I was woundering if anyone has maybe owned both cars and can compare them? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My uncle has an 07 gti and it's the biggest pos ever. It goes in to the dealer once or twice a month because somethings always breaking. Definately go with a gsr.

You're more likely to be profiled in the gsr

VW typically will be more money in maintenance and modifications.

Those are the two big things that cross my mind

deff the gsr, its easier to wrk on, more reliable, less costly to repair, and this is more an opinion but integras deff look better than euro tuners

I would go with a gsr as well, not just cuz I have an integra either, the MKIII and MKIV both faster but they both have lots of issues when it comes to reliability, plus ur probably gonna have to pay someone to do all the work where as on an integra even if u aren't mechanically inclined u can do a lot of the work yourself. But I'm pretty sure if u went on a VW forum they'd say the opposite. So its pretty much up to u. Look at the satisfaction stats for an integra and GTI and base ur thoughts on that.

Integra= Better looking, easier to work on, cheaper to maintain, more reliable.

GTI= Faster out of the box, better equipped, less likely to be stolen.

I am not very mechanicly inclined AT ALL. I'm 16 and this is my first car. I've been saving my money since ever so I have 6k to spend. (btw I really like your integra)

As far as theft if I had a nice alarm system would I have to worry?

alarm system or not if they really want your car . it will be gone no matter what. unless you got it bolted down to whatever you live
