Clutch selection

Alright, so this coming Weekend I'm going to the local junkyard to pick up a few parts for my trans swap but obvously the clutch is best new. I'm not too familiar with clutches and I know they are mostly personal preferance and I was wondering what some of your preferances are?

I also found this clutch and was wondering if it was a good buy or if maybe there's a better brand for the same price; not too familiar with brand names. (I know I know... I'm a noob) :p

with some input and the pick this weekend I should be able to call up a couple friends and get the trans swapped not this weekend but next.

My personal preference is Exedy. I have owned three stage 2, one stage 1 and a multi-plate and have never had any issue of any kind out of any of them. Exedy is also manufactured by Daikin, who manufactures OEM clutches for almost every Japanese carmaker.....if that says anything about their quality.

i have a competition stage 2 clutch, works perfect and holds up well
but Exedy is also a good brand

So it's pretty unanimous the most of you would choose something like:

over the previously linked clutch?
It depends on your setup, mods and what you feel like dealing with. If it is a stock'ish or mildly built car, a Exedy Stage 2 clutch is overkill. You don't need that aggressive of a clutch. If you just plan on doing mostly basic mods (no boost), I would look into the Stage 1.

I'm using a f1 racing clutch and flywheel from gripforce.com. I have 7k miles on it and about 15 launches on it and it still feels the way it did when it was brand new. I got the stage 3 6 puck- and I daily it no problem :)

I just ordered the spec stage 1 for now. I've still got quite a ways to go before getting anything more other than a stage 1. Need to rewire the whole car pretty much cause the guy who owned it before me put in an aftermarket cooling fan and the wiring is all over the place and I have power issues. After that I gotta deal with the squeeky suspension ( probably the bushings.) then it's the motor rebuild. Then it's just some more minor stuff after that but itsdefinately going to be a long process. The big question is if I wanna keep it na or turbo it. :p
