Sup Club integra. forum, i just came up on some gsr door panels and noticed that the tweeters and Rear speakers have a different connector then speakers i would go buy at a sterio store.
I what i was wondering is how do i connect the tweeters? also if i were to get some new rear and front speakers how would i go about hooking them up since they have that odd speaker connector?

Thanks,
Toco

First option is to put some splice connectors into the factory wires and run them to the new speakers.
Also you can just cut the connector off, which some people will tell you not to. But I doubt you will ever be reinstalling the factory speakers

LOL djh1991. At least, I think i understand

@ toco004,

ominous is right, when I changed mine, I left the tweeters, cuz who blows out tweeters? But if you just have to change them, keep the resistor that is hard-wired, that is what makes the magic happen.

And for the door speakers, when I bought my new ones, they came with spade connectors. So I cut off the factory harness as short as I could and crimped those on. Try radio shack.

Be sure to find out by way of a voltmeter, digital or otherwise, which one is positive and which one is negative. The speakers will be marked; if one is wired properly and the other is not, it will sound weird and you won't know why.

good luck

I think the phrase you're looking for is 'out of phase'. An easier way to find which wire is pos and neg is to cut the connector off, plug it back into the factory speaker, touch the 2 leads to a drill battery. If the cone pops towards you, you have + and - correct and if reverse, you have it reversed.
