correct if i'm wrong but isn't a yellow top optima battery a die cell type battery? Why the sealed battery container?

seen too many cheesy 4drs where i live, so i got motivated again and i really gotta step it up with mines

this thread is full of win.

lol you're totally right. when i bought the box i was concerned about toxic gasses, but once i bought the optima i realized i didn't need a sealed box. :smackself

besides, cant go wrong with moroso. :p

so... after some trial and error... along with some googling, the victor x wasn't needed since its more for an aggressive all out build, plus it fucking HUGE [thats what she said, lol]. so instead i went with the skunk2 pro series intake manifold, its great for my mild build and i've heard nothing but good news about them. i took some pics to show the difference. for anyone thinking about doing this install, its a pain in the ass but it is a bolt on part. i also found out that if you want to use the hondata intake manifold gasket... you gotta replace the studs on the head with longer ones. in my case i couldn't use it, you are barely able to thread the nuts on. On another note, you need to use a non v-tec throttle pulley, itr/ls throttle cable along with the bracket

Parts needed:
1x pro series manifold
1x intake manifold gasket
1x itr throttle cable & cable bracket
1x non v-tec throttle body pulley

kinda sucks cause i wanted to go with a edelbrock setup. now i need to find a trade/sell my throttle body wit ha skunk2 :p.

oh btw... MY CAR STARTED!!! finally, after all these years

an intense feeling, its been sitting around for a lil over 2 years since the motor had a spun bearing. gutted and rebuilt. After the turn of the key and listening to the motor turning over for a couple seconds... hearing the motor starting and running was the best feeling. :thumbs up

mad smoke came out, the header started to glow... the beginning of a fresh motor. its reving kinds high tho so i need to check for a vacuum leak or if i plug in the wrong sensor somewhere. the biggest hurdle of it is over... a couple things here and there, then its time for an alignment and a dyno tune! paint job last, puahaha

haha, shiet... thats like a 2 hour drive up there. i need to find something local. maybe a tune in temple city when i go to button willow? :p
I don't know any reputable dyno shops in SD. I know Loi Song from SportCar Motion takes all of his cars to Church Automotive in Wilmington. However, that's still a drive for you.

haha yea i kno. shops in sd are sketchy unless you personally know them. i just need it tuned for proper driving and breaking it in, then have it re-tuned for the track. or should i just get a chipped ecu to my mods and break it in for the dyno?

its currently running on the stock ecu, which i dont think its a good idea since i have the skunk2 manifold

Updates

ordered some seat rails and seat base from sparco. btw they are awesome, stuff came within the next day once ordered. these weren't 100% bolt-on for my recaro seat... but it wasn't something a drill can't do. decided to install the oem seat belt to the base. i also noticed that it looks like i can put a fan at the bottom of the seat to cool down my crotch? lol. not sure but i guess it would really help in long a endurance or hot weathers. tried a test fit back in the car and its perfect. last thing to do to it is clean the sucker. omg its so filthy stains everywhere from the previous owners dog.

You could get a chipped ECU, then drive up to Temple City so we can tune it.
