2 Part / Won't Start: (SOLVED!!!)

1. PROBLEM: Starter either Turns Over or Just 1 Click. No Consistency!
- Even when jumping from another running car.
SOLUTION: Turns Over Every Time now w New Push Button Start

2. When Turning over: Bright Blue Spark, Plenty of preasure through the rail
& plenty of power to clean injectors but no spray.
- Starts for a bit with Starting fluid or if fuel spills in after poping out the injectors.
SOLUTION: 1st JY sold me the wrong Distributor Obd0. Replaced w Obd1 (correct) Fired up 1st try!

Invested so far:
650.00 Purchase Price
75.00 New - Battery
90.00 JY1 - Distributor w/harness (mine was cut & yanked)
JY gave me 1 from a 90 Civic... bolted right up and all wires color matched
except 1 (light yellow & off white...) I get bright blue spark after upgrades below!
120.00 New - Starter (twice!) Oiginal and 1st New, both tested OK 3 times ea. at Autozone
120.00 New - Coil, Cap, Rotor
50.00 New - Plugs, Wires
30.00 New - Ground Wires from Batter, Transmission, & Valve Cover
30.00 New - Starter Relay
60.00 New - Main Relay
80.00 JY2 - ECU
75.00 New - Ignition Switch
30.00 New - All fuses (Both Panels)
40.00 Ebay JY - Dash/Radio Wiring Harness
30.00 New - Push Button Start + Wire, Heat Shrink, Terminals, etc.
(+120.00) Return - Cap, Coil, Rotor (For Obd0) Replaced w Obd1
100.00 JY2 - Obd1 Distributor (Correct)
20.00 +Tip to yard boy for pullin it at 5min after closing time

Firstly you shouldn't ever have to buy a new cap and rotor when buying a distributor. Secondly, I would go hand over hand under the hood of the car and search for any loose grounds or exposed wires etc. Best of luck!

I'm thinkin a New Honda Brand Distributor & Harness made for the 92 Integra & New Injectors
Distributor wouldn't be your problem if you have good spark. It's clearly a fuel problem. All focus should be on that. If you can put a fuel source in the intake, and it fires up, that means your lacking fuel. You say it has good pressure, but the injectors do not spray? Will fuel leak from the rail if you have an injector unplugged. My thoughts are either the fuel pump is bad, or that your injectors are completely clogged. Perhaps there is another issue in the fuel system, but it seems clear to me that it is fuel.

A cap and rotor are basic tune up things. It NEVER hurts to replace them, and if your buying a new distributor.. it's probably a good idea so you know it's ALL good. It you know for sure that they are good, then your right, you don't have to buy new ones.. but sometimes you just can't tell.

If u keep cranking the engine will it start and then when u let go it dies? Then u try giving it gas while cranking let go still revving the engine, but it dies after u let go of the gas? If that's ur case try cleaning out the ignition switch.

Thanks for the replies! The distributor was from a junk yard... Barely had any spark. That's why I changed cap, coil and rotor. Ignition control module looked ok. Found a MUCH BIGGER prob! not lol...
Started tracing wires from fuse box inside. WOW!!! Surprised this car didn't go up in flames!
Melted insulation and torched/ green/ oxidized wires exposed and grounding out on the Radio/ dash harness! Needless t say, my ecu is prolly thinkin WTF is goin on? abort! abort! Replacing that harness this wk and going over entire electrical system b4 I hook the batt back up. Safety first! lol Good Times!

Maybe you should invest in a fire extinguisher. :D

the two common problems with are type of car is either the distributer or oil in the spark plugs due to the valve gasket and head gaskets

Update: Checked all other wiring. Looks ok, nothin melted, bare, or crispy.
Swapped the dash harness. & Still... Starter just clicks.
Checked remote (ign) wire voltage on the Starter (when try'n t crank) and it fluctuates.
Instead of replacing the line from ign to starter, I'm say'n F*ck it and installing a push button start today.

In theory: NO 12v = No Start So... F*ck the "middle men" and wire it "direct"
Problem - Starter isn't getting consistent 12v from Ignition when tryn t crank.
Solution - Wire from Battery -> Inline Fuse -> Push Button Start Switch -> Ign spade on starter.

I've seen hundrends of posts about this problem & everybody always says to replace any combination of what I've already replaced. I'll do my best to keep the detailed diognostics of my long and expensive fix to help out anybody else that is in the same spot.

...I said I wanted a lill "Go Kart on Crack" project car & a project is deff what I got!
Well over budget so far. Haven't even gottin 6 piece body kit or installed the dual flame throwers! lol
Still Smilin! ;)

Turns over w/ the push start button and starts w starating fluid then dies off.
Plenty of fuel through the rail, injector wires pulse, but still no spray.
Next step: New Injectors
