91 integra gs turns over, but will not start. computer?

I have a 91 integra gs. I had it running the other day, went to start it today, and it wouldnt start. all the dash lights come on, cel, oil, batt, etc. The thing that cought my eye, was that the light inside the ecu doesnt turn on when i turn the car on. Is the code light inside the ecu supposed to come on when the key is turned to II?

just checked, does not look like i have any spark

see if the pin on your distributor cap that contacts the rotor is worn down. It should be about 1 inch long. These wear down to the point where they can no longer make contact with the center contact of the rotor.

i had the same problem no spark check your ignition coil...the problem with my car was the distributor at the end.

i have voltage coming out of the coil. what to check next?

I Had That Problem CHeck The Main Relay Under Dash

does the main relay effect spark if its bad? can it? or does it only affect the fuel pump? im 100% positive i have a working fuel system, and voltage up past the coil. is the ecu light spposed to turn on when the key is turned to II? no led comes on in that window, the main relay could cause that..... but im not sure how the main relay/ecu would affect the spark.

When was the last time you replaced the cap/rotor?
