Vortech supercharger issue

Really have become pretty frustrated with this supercharger. I was out driving around one day and then my 01 GS-R started screaching. I immediately pulled over and decided it was the supercharger so I cut the belt. The screaching stopped. Problem solved. Now i need to fix it. I have no idea where to start.

good thought but if you spin the pulley you can definitely tell that something is messed up. im sure i could fix it if i knew how to remove it from the car...

Since it's a Vortech it's a centrifugal system which means there may be issues with the internals. I guess the equivalent of shaft play (like in turbos) could be a culprit.

so what do you suggest to fix it?
The first thing you should to is see if the pulley/pulley assembly is broken or has something hindering it from spinning. Secondly this:
Find a replacement belt because yours was probably slipping?

You could and should also take the car to a shop that's an authorized Vortech dealer or a trusted performance shop and have them take a look at it. You might need to have it rebuilt. But that's last on the list. try to troubleshoot the smaller issues first.
