im new to FI, and i figure that people in this forum that have experience with it would know a lot more about how to do it safely and correctly.

i was wondering how well a stock k24/k20 motor will respond to a relatively small amount of boost? (8-12 pounds)
what exactly would i have to do to set it up safely in a swapped integra?

other questions i have are..
what amount of boost do you recommend?
what are all of the parts i should invest in, including the actual turbo? (what brand, specific parts, and ideal places to purchase.)

thank you for your time, and even more thanks to the person/people that help me out with this question :)

The amount of boost is determained by the turbo, motor, supporting mods, and your goals.

The turbo is also determained by your goals/motor

no, never decided against it, just couldnt pick which car i wanted it in :)
and i know, i just want to run a small amount of boost on a relatively stock motor.

The motor will be able to handle ~300whp with a good tune, each turbo is different in size so its hard indicate how much PSI it will be. Set a power goal then go off of that.

whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat are you talking about if you know anything about k's you would know this is far from the truth. for one and this is a 2 part answer for you and to help out k20og. let me start off saying and this is from the horses mouth my brothers car(05 tsx) stock motor accept for bolt ons and clutch dynoed at 426whp 298tq with a 6262 precision turbo, tuned on kpro boost by gear. and i know personally know of 5 other hatches or tsx running atleast 400whp in my buddies hatch 528whp 359tq on kpro, bb 35r and web cams. so please when you give info make sure its correct. simply type in turbo tsx and you get atleast a 100 making crazy power with them stock.

now for k20og bro my brother is making 426whp on 10 psi pump and he literally have no probs. k's making massive power completly stock or with very little bolt ons. the failures of k's are there trannies those are completely garbage so i would advise giving mfactory a call later on and getting some new gears.

lol most mildly built k20/k24 setups make that all motor. these motors can definately handle more than that.

I would sug going to turbobygarettes website and reading up about how to chose a proper turbo. Theirs calculators out their so you don't have to do the math but it will help you pick the proper turbo for you engine and application.

From what I have seen though the k series engines respond well to boost. And they hold up stock internals well with slightly mild boost.
