new to the site. originally from southern illinois area. enlisted in the airforce, currently stationed in misawa japan. had a couple hondas while i was in high school. then i enlisted in the airforce and i've been in japan for about 2 years now. since i've been here i've owned a 180sx, K's S13, currently driving a Mitsubishi Pajero TDi and my wife drives a Integra. I recently bought a 92 Integra GSR from a friend back in the states, so i'm collecting parts for it, so i can start a build when i move back the states next year. I've attached a couple pictures of past and current cars.

Welcome to Club Integra. How long have you been stationed in japan bro?
thanks. almost 2 years, there isn't really a honda scene here so i'm just collecting what parts i can for my car back home. i'm getting stationed in the states in feb. btw, i like the way you spell your first name, not alot of jaysons with a "Y".

there isnt a honda "scene" because of the japanese inspection costs and our cars are a million years old so they cost about 3000 to inspect a year. Most of the Hondas you will see are going to be track cars.

the inspections costs aren't that bad actually i just had my wifes car integra done recently and it was 500 for a 2year JCI policy. My Pajero ran me the same when i first got it. a car will cost alot of money if it has alot wrong with it but, the basic policy is 500. most of the hondas you'll see are : domani, legend, integra 4 door(mainly auto), crv, spike, HRV. sometimes i'll see a CTR or a ITR running around but, its rare maybe a handful the whole time i've been here. its not that they're too expensive to upkeep, its that everyone drives nissan/toyota. everyone at the track either drifts or does snow cross in winter. theres just not a real market in my area for honda. once you get south of tokyo thats where most of the honda market is.

welcome to Club Integra what are your plans for the gsr???
thanks, get a 92-93 front bumper(previous owner put a 90-91 on), replace emblems all around, respray the car, full coilovers, replace all bushing, convert to manual ps rack, remove a/c and ps, have the B17 rebuilt, just really get the car close to looking stock maybe with a little more power and better suspension.
