Steering Column is Tilted?!

Can you take off the shroud and the lower dash cover then take a picture facing upwards? There are some big brackets and some gold colored nuts.

Yeah, the car was previously stolen from the first owner of the car. Then they recovered it.

you very well may have to just deal with it until you can replace the column, it does appear to be bent! that sucks bro

Really? I can't just take out some bolts and just turn it back? How hard is it to put in a new column?

Ok, I'll try. I didn't see any bends last night but I'll take a look at it again when it gets cooler out.

i have the same problem in my 96 LS but mine tilts to the left and the ignition thing is broken and has been zip tied back together.

There are 4 nuts that hold the steering column up, though that doesnt look to be the issue.

There are 3 screws on the bottom of the column cover. Take them off, and see if there is something else causing the problem.

I didn't see any problem with the column. Ah this is getting annoying. Any other ideas?

Something must be bent where the column is supported. I didnt realize there were more pictures before my last post. Loosen the nuts that hold it up and let it droop. You may be able to see the brackets that hold it up better, and see if one is messed up/pulled away/bent.

I haven't found anything unusual inside the column. I might take it to a shop around here and see what they think about it.

No haha. It's still tilted =[ I truly just don't know what to do with it.
