Hey guys, I'm Jessica and I'm pretty new to Acuras but I'm hoping to learn a lot about them in the next few days. I just got my 1994 Acura Integra LS two days ago and so far its been a little rough getting used to but I'm getting there slowly. I traded it for my 1992 Nissan 300zx, which I was really sad to see go but It was time for a change, and most importantly go 5spd! Anyways, the integra is kinda..ricer..but I plan on dericing it I guess you could say. It currently has a carbon fiber hood which I'm not sure who the maker is or anything but it will probably go, and the pumpkin orange interior and engine parts MUST go. It has custom exhaust and headers from what I was told which I well also eventually end up changing because it is to loud for my liking. I believe the rims on it are Konigs but I am not sure. Overall the car is not horrible, it will take a bit of work to get to where I want it to be but I'm always up for a new project. Sorry if some of you like the look, I just prefer looking clean over rice, but that is just me. Any advice you guys can give me would be wonderful, but I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi!

Here is the only picture I have of the integra from the ad I found it on, please don't be to mean!

I don't know if the PO is on these forums but he may be.

Just for the heck of it here is a picture of my old Z, I'll miss her.

I'll try to take more pictures of the Integra once I do a little work to it so hopefully the next time you guys will be seeing it it will look better!

Welcome to Club Integra. Can I ask what made you trade up?

While I absolutely love the Zs and I do plan on getting one in the future it was just taking up all of my extra money and then some. The thing about those cars is with anything you buy you have to expect to spend at least 100 dollars unless you luck out and find it really cheap, and even so something will break down constantly because it is an older car and the engine is just insane. If you have seen the engine bay of a z you will understand what I am saying, lol. Plus I was just having to many problems and being a girl I'm limited to what I can do because I don't have the strength a lot of guys do. I'm really excited about the integra, its 5spd and I've only had automatic sports cars so that is a nice change. I also wanted something still sporty but better on gas and stuff so this was a perfect fit. It came with a turbo kit too that I plan on selling so I'll be able to make a little cash on top of everything.

I know exactly where you're coming from. So basically you're not downgrading, you're actually being smart and practical about finances. :thumbs up. What kind of turbo kit did the car come with?

Exactly, I just hope it is a good move for me which it has already started given me a headache but I think that is just cars in general! I was on the way to the DMV today and had a tire go only to discover I had no jack no spare and not key for the locking lug nuts so that was a fun thing to do. I don't think it is anything name brand just a ebay sort of thing but I'm going to try to figure out exactly what it is it has a bunch of good parts with it but the turbo itself probably isn't anything spectacular. I'm planning on selling the rims too, do you recognize them? I'd like to know exactly what they are.

It was a good move, after you fix all the bugs your integra will be a lot more reliable then the Z you used to have and it won't cost too much to "de-rice". did you replace the lugs ?

Ebay turbo kits - if you decide to stick with it, try and upgrade the manifold. The ebay manifolds are made of cheap metals and tend to crack and break. I can't help you with detailing the rims x] you're best bet is to look behind the rim. It states the size, offset and sometimes the brand. Post pics on craigslist and home someone likes it :thumbs up. Can we see more pics of the car?

I know in the kit it has an upgraded manifold I think I know the guy said something about a manifold and showed it to me. I wasn't really paying attention haha. Yeah I'll probably look tomorrow and see if I can find out what exactly it is. I really do not think I will be keeping the turbo kit though as turbos are prone to just causing more problems and I do not need that right now. The engine on the car runs perfect so I am happy about that It just needs suspension work and the wheels need to be changed like I mentioned, so that won't be to much work at all. Then of course just painting the nasty orange haha.

I just went outside and took some pics, sorry for them being crappy and of course night picture but here ya go!

Firstly you guys have to see the pumpkin orange

Okay here are the rest of the pictures

Thanks guys for being so nice! I'm wanting to do a little bit of change for the exterior, what are the popular front bumpers for these cars, also what are the best suspension set ups? I may not do coils just yet so preferably shock/spring set up. I know I was told that it has aftermarket suspension but I'd rather just do it myself so that I know it is good.

woah, thanks for taking pictures with the quickness x]. It looks like you're gonna have some fun restoring this teg x]. If you need anything, just ask :D

Keep the front bumper, oem looks best. Just get a lip, my favorite is the "si-vtec" style. As for the strut/spring combo, I hear the koni yellows + ground control sleeves are great for competitive driving as well as the daily grind.

Those trim pieces are hideous..... lol, front bumpers around here usually consist of a lip kit and call it good :thumbs up suspension will really just depend on what you want from the car.

Okay thanks for the help. I know Konis are very good so I'll look into those, and the lip.
