tach stopped working

ok so last night when i got off work i started my car like always but noticed that the tach was jumping around a little bit. i startined driving and it went back to normal half way home it dies completely just dropped to 0.

what could cause the tach to stop working?
i haven't done anything to the car yet and it is still running like normal

most likely something in your dizzy.
check your dizzy out, it might just be a loose wire.

by the way it is a 95 integra gsr with an ls in it

probably your speed sensor

take it out and spray it with wd40, doing that help clean all the build up on them from years of use

speedo works just fine

also i noticed when i was driving b4 it went out that if i hit a bump the tach needle would jump a tad bit

sorry man im tired as hell, thought i read that your speedo wasnt working

like he said, check all the wires inside your dizzy, make sure everything is tight

dash cluster parts go bad all the time in lots of cars. You usually can replace just the Tach meter there in your gauge cluster, it should be a separate part.
