Hi all, my name's Tiffany and I just got a 1994 2 door LS automatic with 220k miles on it, I'm 18 and this is my first car. Before I knew it was auto I was thinking about doing a engine swap but now I'm not so sure.... what do you guys think? It has some body damage but my dad does paint and body work and is going to fix it for me, should I keep it and mod it or sell it and get something else? :???: All opinions welcome, thanks in advance.

Please do not change the exhaust. Auto's sound terrible with an aftermarket exhaust.

But sure, if you want to you can modify it. I wouldnt expect to win any races if I were you though.

theres nothing wrong with modding an auto. its all up to you.

i got an auto civic sedan and im planning on a drop, wheels, front lip, side markers, etc.. no power upgrades tho. im just going to use that to roll around in from a to b.

you could get an exhaust for an auto if you wish. i suggest something quiet like an RS-R ex.mag, apex'i ws2, or just polish the hell out of the oem muffler :thumbs up

Welcome to Club Integra. In my opinion, keep it as a commuter car. There's nothing wrong with rolling around stock. Get another car if you want a manual.

welcome to the club!
i had the same thing you do, i put coilovers, intake, exhaust and thats about as far as i got.
to be honest with you, i wasn't happy with it. i wanted more.
sooo i got a stick, and its 1000 times better.
if you just picked this up, you probably don't wanna sell it right away, but if you do, i would, and get a stick.
if you don't, plan on a motor and tranny swap!

i have a 96 auto, don't plan on having a way fast car or anything lol.
a full motor/tranny (manual) swap can get pretty spendy but it all depends on how much dough you have.
clean it up, get a sick stereo system, new wheels/tires, suspension.
if you eventually do run it into the ground, pull out your stuff, replace the oem parts, and buy a new one!
welcome to the club.

There is nothing wrong with a modified automatic (I have one but it's in the work). I be very concern with your high mileage. In this case I prob do a motor/trans swap, that pob be the cheapest way or sell it and get another teg with less mileage.

Keep It Clean
You can mod an automatic, just to have a little more 'pick up and go' power and to 'free up' some power. Invest more into the handling and looks of the car.

Lowered with some nice wheels and a few extra add-ons, that will make it a fun Daily Driver.

I disagree I LOVE my full rsr exhaust, it sounds amazing! puurrr like a cat very quiet.. Mod a auto if you want too, I'd go more towards appearances than anything else. I modded my auto to the max and its a DD, bottom line do what you want to do,after all its your car.
