no, i dont want to swap my steering rack to a manual one so dont suggest that.

the question i had was what did people do with huge tube that comes from the rack and connects to the top of the power steering pump? ive read many writeups and none of them mentioned that hose.

thanks!!

I know on SOME cars you can "loop" a line of fluid so that the rack doesn't run dry and break.

I haven't looked at the integra rack/ps set up, so i can't give exact advice.

the looping method is done at the bottom of the rack below the brake booster. the large hose runs towards the middle of the rack. i know where to loop it but i just need to know what to do with that main huge hose. id i just cap it off or what..??

again, i know thats where im supposed to loop it. it doesnt say anything about that hose that comes from the middle of the rack and to the top of the p/s pump.

go outside and look at your lines

the one that you are talking about is the small one you see in the article

its the first one they removed and added a new line to

sounds good

you should be able to pull the big line up after you have disconnected it at the rack

but since you already did the loop it should be ready to come out

you were right! there was a hard line that went under the firewall and i thought i connected somewhere else. but yeah, all the hoses is gone and is looped. ill take pics when i get home. now i need to clean the engine bay. damn p/s fluid everywhere!!

steering is much MUCH lighter than just removing the belt.
