Biggest Sub Box

I was wondering what is the biggest subwoofer box you could fit in the back of a integra coupe? Im lookin to put a pair of 12's in it.

When I built mine my outside dimensions were 30"W x 12"D x 15"H. The box just sits a little past the wheel wells so I'm left with a little trunk space.

i have 2 12's and i had to take the winshield wiper motor out and the panel on the hatch

Size isn't everything. In the store I used to work at, we had a display we used for comparisons. We had a 10 inch Alpine Type R in a custom made tuned ported enclosure, and we had two 12s in a off-the-shelf box, same type of subs, same amp with a switch between the two sets of subs. The 10 was much louder no question. We sold a lot of smaller subs and custom boxes that way.

The same guy that made that box made one for a square Kicker and that thing blew doors down. This was not even a high-dollar sub. The specs that come with a sub tell you the volume of the box and the port. Then you glass the inside of the box at the joints. This seals the air in and forced it all to escape from the port.

I personally love the square Kickers.

I run 30''(wide)x27''(deep)x14.25''(high) 4.5 cubes, sealed, 18'' 2005' RE audio XXX








Here is a ported 15'' pox, 30''x27''x14.25'', 4cubes, 31.5hz...









30''x15.5''x13.5'', ported 12'' box, 2 cubes, 33hz...



All these boxes fit in the trunk without modifications, allow use of the hatch/privacy cover, and give you a lot of room for amps. Oh yeah, and they bump.

If you need help drawing up a box, let me know.

i have 2 12 in mine and its a perfect fit. and i still have a lot of room for my fishing rods lol:)

There is no way that the 15 or w/e that is in the single box worked well with the privacy cover. Everytime it hit it would hit that, which would work, but is not good on subs at all.

No way? You're right, under full excursion, it would have hit, but I only played low volume with it in place, and just removed it for wanging/competition.
